Description
Uniform is a group from New Zealand that make a shuffling, hopeful, bleary whirlwind of song with voice, guitar, and electronics. On Joan St High Tide the sound is provided by Beth Dawson (Ducking Monster) and Tina Pihema (The Coolies). These songs have some relationship with strummy Sarah Records aesthetics but the ooze and whirr of the electronics pull it into something different. They can get into zoney, head-nod territory but there’s so much brightness to it the feeling is more wonder than hypnosis. Edition of 40 copies, with a clever fold-out sleeve and riso printed insert.
